The Dutchman Landscape Company was created from a genuine passion for the landscape industry and the satisfaction that comes from seeing what a property can become.
We believe the best work comes from treating every property as though it were our own; paying attention to the details, taking pride in the craftsmanship, and building lasting relationships with the people who trust us with their properties.
Backed by 30 years of industry experience, our goal isn't simply to complete the work. It's to bring ideas, experience and care to every project and sometimes create a result our customers hadn't imagined was possible.
My Story
I am Myles Koene, founder and owner of The Dutchman Landscape Company.
I have spent 30 years in the landscape industry, experiencing every side of the business while working for a large, multi-service landscape company. It was an incredible experience and gave me an understanding of this industry that can only come with time.
What I found the most fulfilling in the work, was always the more personal side. It’s a genuine passion for the work that has always driven me to be dependable, take that extra step, pay attention to the details, and create something my clients can genuinely enjoy and be proud of.
The Dutchman is an opportunity to bring that passion back to the forefront. Dependability, loyalty and delivering what you promise, have always mattered to me and those values are at the heart of how I want The Dutchman to operate.
The name itself is personal,
My Dutch heritage includes generations of gardeners and farmers. From my great-grandfather, to my Opa and to my own dad, our family has had a connection to growing, gardening and caring for the land that reaches back 150 years. The Dutchman is my way of carrying a little of that heritage forward while building something of my own. So, I guess you could say I’m “Gezegend met echte groene vingers”.
After 30 years, I’m excited to bring that experience back to what I enjoy most. Great relationships, quality craftsmanship, and creating landscapes that sometimes become more than the customer could imagine.
What You Can Expect
At The Dutchman, good enough isn't the standard. We believe the difference is in the details, noticing what others might overlook, thinking ahead and taking the extra time to get things right.
Our experience allows us to read a property as we work, recognizing what needs attention without always needing to be asked.
That attention carries through to the final cleanup. We keep our work areas organized and presentable, and when the job is finished, the details are finished too.
